First of all is the chunky necklace! The kinds you see on the catwalk are probably a little too cumbersome for everyday wear, but there are other styles and varieties to choose from that will still achieve a similar look. They’re not ideal items for very, very hot weather, though some chunky beads always look good with a maxi-dress or a cute little sundress! Match this with some chunky bangles in the same colour and you’re away!

Some hoop earrings might carry the spirit of chav, but there are plenty of stylish designs out there that are simply not meant to be WAG chav chic. Avoid the enormous, tacky gold hoops and opt for something a little more elegant. Silver hoops earrings can look perfect with the right outfit, so long as you can’t fit your hand through them!

Try out the bohemian look this summer; bangles and bracelets are a must, accompanied by a bright, vibrant outfit. Earthy coloured bracelets with pretty jewels and sequins make a versatile addition to your jewellery collection. If you’re not fond of the bulkier bracelets or noisy bangles, a pretty tennis bracelet might suit your tastes instead.

Luckily, the World Cup always goes on during the best time of the year – summer! Did you know that the World Cup first began nearly 80 years ago in quaint little Uruguay, but many of the competitors today refused to travel across the blue oceans in order to play. Still, that didn’t prevent the biggest football event the world has ever seen from flourishing. Since 1931, there have been an amazing 19 World Cups, this year’s making it a round 20.

So what can you do to show all of your undying and limitless support for your favoured country? You might be surprised by the ways. As the weather is gloriously warm at the moment, you can pack the kids off outside in the garden to enjoy the sunshine all kitted out in their favourite football strip, with football gloves and footballs included for some added authenticity (someone has to be goalie, afterall!)! That’s not to say you can’t head outside to get involved, too. Playing football provides an excellent way to keep you and your family and friends fit, healthy and active, so there is really no excuse not to get involved.

We know that some of you out there do prefer to watch sports rather than play them however, and there are still plenty of ways for you to show support. You can fly a football flag from your bedroom window, stick it on a pole in the garden or hang it from your car (so long as you don’t end up obstructing your own or another driver’s view, of course!) You might be surprised how many smiles and honked horns you get. There is masses of football memorabilia out there too, from football badges to football flasks (something very handy to take with you to all of those World Cup football games!)

They will no doubt never have a completed coin collection, whatever they might specialise in, but that’s a big part of the fun!

1. The Blackberry Curve
Everyone is intimidated by the smart phone at first, but the Blackberry is actually surprisingly easy to get used to. It’s not the most attractive phone on the market, but it does come with a handy little keypad that is just like the  QWERTY keyboard. It takes a bit of getting used to, yes, and if you have particularly large fingers you will probably want to turn elsewhere for your mobile needs, but it’s much faster and easier to use than predictive text. Unfortunately, you have no excuse for your bad spelling.

The Blackberry Curve also has the option for permanent internet connection, making it ideal for business types – or teenagers – that need to be in constant contact with the rest of the world (or Facebook). It does make for a very handy feature when you’re out and about and want to find something like a restaurant, a petrol station or even a supermarket. With an unlimited list of downloadable applications, the Blackberry Smartphone can pretty much offer you everything you could possibly need, including its very own messenger and a variety of social networking site applications specifically tailored to the Blackberry. It also has an extensive list of downloadable games, themes and efficiency applications that really do make using your Blackberry even easier.

The only let down is the camera. It’s fine if you want to take photos in the daytime, but as soon as the lights are low, there is absolutely no point in trying. Unfortunately, the creators forgot to include a flash. This shouldn’t be too much of a problem for most of you though, as we’re certain many now own a digital camera.

Our conclusion? You don’t realise how much you wanted it until you have it in your hands.
